International Student Resources

Many of our Smeal students that are international students wish to pursue job opportunities here in the United States - and we encourage it!  In order to do so, there are several steps the student needs to take in order to work in the US legally, potentially adding some difficulty to the job search process. 

In this section of the website, Career Services will help guide our current international students through (potentially) muddy waters.  Students can also look through the 2009/2010 Penn State Grad Student Career Guide, available in 220, for more detail.

As always, make an appointment with a Career Services representative to help negotiate through each step of the process.  We want our students to avoid being legally barred from accepting a hard-won job offer!
