MBA Consulting Association
MBA consulting association is a student run association that facilitates a platform for students to explore and pursue consulting careers. Through a series of workshops, personal mentoring and activities it engages its members to
- Develop professional networks
- Gain exposure to consulting careers
- Provide resources for interviews and case competitions
- Partner with other departments/associations for consulting work
Membership fee for two years is $50.
Zahidul Naim Zakaria, President
Zahidul is the President of the MBA Consulting Association. He started his career in journalism before transitioning to consulting in Bangladesh, where he worked with private sector associations and the government to develop growth strategies and improve the regulatory environment. This combination of experiences has given him a unique perspective into how data analytics and communication can come together to solve problems. At Smeal, he is focusing on supply chain management and strategic leadership, and will be working with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations team in the summer of 2016. He is passionate about capacity building of students interested in consulting and is at the helm of developing the Consulting Association’s first original casebook to support case interview preparation of MBAs. Zahidul was born and raised in Dhaka, literally the most densely populated city in the world! What people usually hate about big cities, such as crowds and traffic, is what makes big cities feel like home to him.
Anjal Haroli, VP Communications
Anjal Haroli is the VP of Communications for the MBA Consulting Association. He has an undergrad degree in Electronics and Communications and six years of work experience in the technology sector. Prior to Smeal, he was working as a consultant with Nokia, wherein he led several cross-functional projects and won key clients for the company. He has expertise in technology consulting and sales operations. He is apt at leveraging cross functional skills and managing functionally diverse relationships within and outside the company. At Smeal, he is concentrating in Supply Chain Management and Marketing.
Obinna Nnabuihe, VP Corporate Relations
Obinna Nnabuihe is the VP of Communications for the MBA Consulting Association. Obinna was born and raised in Nigeria where he received his first degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria.
Obinna graduated as an engineer but started his career as a programmer and graphic designer due to his love for technology and challenges. He later worked in Airtel - the 3rd largest telecom company in the world using subscriber number - as a business analyst where he worked on multiple projects that involved customer usage and retention, campaign strategy, customer segmentation, predictive churn, data analytics, business intelligence, product development and customer acquisition.
He is passionate about developing strategies to solve business problems and worked with consultants from IBM on Africa-wide projects that involved customer retention and revenue growth strategies in emerging markets during his time at Airtel Nigeria. He loves to meet people and also loves to travel for fun.
Claudia Huang, VP Finance
Claudia Huang is the VP of Finance for the MBA Consulting Association. She came to the Smeal MBA program after working as a program manager with Foxconn for three years. She led cross-functional teams in new product introduction, and developed strategic projects which secured long term partnerships with major customers. Claudia started her career in marketing and public relations, launching several successful marketing campaigns and enhancing product exposure in the market, all while learning about the business in various industries.
Prateek Mathur, VP Project Management
Prateek was born and raised in Oman, and graduated from NITK Surathkal with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. Prior to Smeal, he worked in the manufacturing sector in numerous capacities, for half a decade. At Wirtz, Prateek led numerous manufacturing footprint enhancement projects for the world's largest battery conglomerates in South-East Asia, Middle East, India and the USA. Later, Prateek led the establishment of the company’s sister concern in India and launched the entire manufacturing operations, developing and managing end-to-end domestic and global supply chain for the India operations.
