MBA Consulting Association

MBA consulting association is a student run association that facilitates a platform for students to explore and pursue consulting careers.  Through a series of workshops, personal mentoring and activities it engages its members to

  • Develop professional networks
  • Gain exposure to consulting careers
  • Provide resources for interviews and case competitions
  • Partner with other departments/associations for consulting work

Membership fee for two years is $50.

Portrait of Karthick Jayakumara Sarma.Karthick Jayakumara Sarma, President

Karthick Jayakumara Sarma is the President of MBA Consulting Association. He has an undergraduate degree in electronics and communication engineering from National Institute of Technology Calicut, India. Prior to joining the Smeal MBA program, Karthick worked as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting. During his 4 years in Deloitte, he helped businesses achieve their strategic objectives by leveraging best practices, providing industry insights, motivating cross-functional teams and leading successful project execution. He is also one of the founding members of an ecology based community trust called Yesodaa Foundation. He was the Director of Signature Events for the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAP), Penn state charter, and campus ambassador for Prodigy Finance. At Smeal, he is concentrating in Supply Chain Management and Consulting. He is a foodie who constantly craves south-Indian food, pizza, tacos, burritos and networking. When he isn’t busy with school work, he enjoys reading, watching TV shows and cooking.

Remya Rajeev is the Vice President of Operations of the MBA Consulting Association. She has an undergraduate degree in electronics and communication engineering from National Institute of Technology Nagpur, India. Prior to joining the Smeal MBA program, Remya worked as a business operations consultant at Protiviti, Kuwait. During her 4.5 years in consulting, she performed risk analyses, internal control testing and business process audits to recommend best industry practices and strategies for process improvement in multifarious industries in the Middle East and Africa region. At Smeal, she is concentrating in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. She also enjoys playing table tennis, reading and travelling.

Anoop Sharma is the VP of Finance for the MBA Consulting Association. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. Prior to joining the MBA program at Smeal, he worked as a Project Coordinator in Larsen & Toubro Construction, the largest construction company of India. He led multiple cross-functional teams to deliver three projects of a cumulative worth $308 million. In these projects, his major focus was on procurement and inventory management. At Smeal, he is concentrating in Supply Chain Management and Finance.
